Identifying When I’m Cumming

Unread post by planted_roses »

So, my partner and I have been together for a good chunk of time. I am very aroused by them and can easily be pleasured by them. But for some reason, I can never tell when I’m cumming with them like I can when using my vibrator. I’m pretty sure I am cumming because my body is showing signs (tiredness, tensing up, etc) but I can’t feel the actual release or build up, I only feel pleasure from their touch. Is this normal? Is there some way to feel that build up and release?

Hello and welcome, Planted_roses!

Not being able to tell exactly when an orgasm is happening is normal, in the sense that it is one of the many ways you can feel while being sexual, and it isn't a problem, per say. Orgasms don't always have to feel the same. Among the possible reasons for this, it could be that you have more things taking up your attention with your partner. Your body might be responding differently to that, or it might be more difficult to focus on what is changing.

Learning to feel a more definite sense of build up and release with your partner might be a matter of experimentation... sometimes it helps to start with what you know well. What would you think of using a vibrator with your partner, since you can consistently tell when an orgasm happens using one on your own?
