We ask that users looking for general, ongoing emotional support post in this area of the boards, and that you use this space to both ask for, give and receive that support primarily from each other, rather than from our staff and volunteers. As a staff, we simply are often too overextended with all we need to do in running the organization and its services to do that for extended periods of time, and one of our main aims of our community at the boards has always been to facilitate peers to better be there for each other.
Users often report that they have no in-person peers they can talk to or seek support from: we want this to be a space for online peer support and somewhere everyone can get some practice asking for, getting and giving support so that doing it with people in your lives feels more doable.
Please remember that neither staff, volunteers nor your fellow users can provide or replace mental healthcare when that is something you need. Users struggling with issues like anxiety, depression, abuse or physical health issues are strongly encouraged to seek out qualified, in-person help with those issues in addition to peer or staff support.

Have hope
Hello everyone.
First i would like to thank the entire team that runs this site, truly you guys are fighting the good fight helping young (and not so young) people navigate through the tough and treacherus landscape of sex and sexuality. I wish i could do more than just give thanks but it is what it is.
And to everyone else, everyone posting and lurking. To all of you struggling through something, KEEP GOING.
I wont lie to you, it sucks out here, its rough and harsh, being a person. I see ya'll posting and good god ya'll are so young! Its a scary world to be young in right now and ... i just can not fathom the courage, streght and tenacity every single one of you has to simply exist.
I wish i could be Superman to fly where ever all of you are and help you through everything you are dealing with but saddly i left my cape in the wash and now all my socks are pink. So ill just do the next best thing and tell you how amazing you all are just for the lone fact that you are human!
You are strong, stronger than you believe. And you will make it!
Look at you! Im so so proud of you!
Keep going! Keep fighting! Keep looking for that light! Gather as much knowledge as you can and suround yourselves with as many cool, smart, kind and generous people as you can. Learn from them, learn from all thats around you and use that knowledge to shape the future, YOUR future, into the wonderful adventure you deserve.
Im proud of you... and i believe in you.
