Hello.

Just a day ago me (female) and my bf did non penetrative sex. He did came but only after the fingering happened. And before he fingered me inside, we gave each other hand jobs.

His finger went in pretty deep and may have a possibility of precum. I am currently in my 24th day and on the luteal phase if it helps.

I read that the possibility of pregnancy is low but I want to ask for any next steps I should take to ensure my safety.

You’re right that the possibility of pregnancy is low here. I would even say that the risk here is so low, that, depending on how comfortable you are, you really won’t have to do anything special to stay safe.

Let me explain. Precum or pre-ejaculate usually doesn’t contain any sperm at all. When it does (generally when a person has ejaculated recently and hasn’t urinated afterwards), it’s still a very small amount. When there is less sperm, pregnancy is less likely. On top of that, sperm cells are also delicate, and need a very specific environment to survive. They just would not be able the handle being transferred from his body, to his hand, and then to your body like this. All considered, this makes pregnancy so unlikely we might as well say it is not possible.

There are steps you can take to stay safe after you’ve been in a situation that poses a risk of pregnancy - namely, taking emergency contraception. But to me, it just doesn’t seem like it would be worth it to pursue that option when the risk is so low. What do you think?

You mentioned being on the 24th day of your cycle - that means it’s very likely that you’ll get your period soon - that will be a sure sign that you are not pregnant.
