How do I, as an mtf teen, deal with painful tucking?

Okay, so I am a teenage male-to-female trans person. I am taking no HRT(sadly) or blockers, and am on tanner stage 4. I've tried doing tucking, but I also get stuck on the guides. I want to do what they say of, "guide each teste into their inguinal canal. If it's painful, stop and do it later" However, it always hurts. I've tried doing it different times of the day, or tried doing different temperatures to experiment, but it always hurts past the point that I think it should. Also, in the times where I manage to get them in the canals, it drops almost immediately. I'd really like to do this part, but I'm not sure what to do. Are my teste's too big? I measured, and each are about 4 cm in length, and 2.5 cm in width/height, though those measurements may be off(hard to accurately measure). I know HRT can shrink testicles to more than half their initial size, but due to a transphobic parent, I can't rely on that. Any advice/help?

Hi there, Psysharm — welcome to the boards!

I’m approving your post, but I don’t personally know all that much about tucking, so I’m afraid I can’t answer you right now. I will ask someone else on the team to check in on this, they should get back to you in a few hours. :D

Hi psysharm!

So, as you know, tucking shouldn't be painful at all. I'm glad you stop when it hurts and don't push your body too hard, please keep listening to it and whenever there's pain stop right away.

If you're following reliable online guides, such as this one, and you're struggling to get your testes to stay in the inguinal canals, I wonder if you're pushing them into the wrong place somehow? As you can see in the guide I linked, it should not be painful and should only require a gentle push, no force involved.

If that's not possible and you're experiencing pain, you could try tucking without using the inguinal canals as many folks do. This could also just be good to start off with to get practice in tucking overall. Are you open to that?

I do want to ask if you need anything, such as venting/advice, around the transphobic parent mentioned. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that, it's not fair. We're here if you want to chat about that. <3
