Are there any illustrations of testes like the Betty Dodson vulva illustrations I could see?

So I have a vulva, and most of my exposure to visual depictions of penises is through sexual drawings. I have a weird thing where I don't like to look at pictures or recordings of naked people or their body parts - it's something about detachment between the concept of a person and their body, where a whole person is much more than their body; it's how they move and talk and react. It's possibly because I'm autistic. Anyway, most of said sexual drawings are highly unrealistic, mainly because - partially due to being on the ace spectrum - I don't really get any gratification from "vanilla" stuff, so it has to apply to one or more of my fetishes for me to enjoy it, and uh... well, without going into detail for privacy reasons, many of those fetishes inherently involve unrealistic body types.

However! I am interested in sex with real people, and very aware that real life genitals look very different from how they appear in the kind of porn I like. I also like to write stories (often fanfiction) in which characters have sex, and having a good concept of what actual genitals look like and how they act helps me with that. (When I'm not writing purely for sexual gratification, anyway, haha. Though some of my fetishes are more about dynamics and such can be put in more realistic, character-based smut; I've been experimenting with that lately, it's a ton of fun.) Essentially, I want to get a good idea of what actual testes look like for both my future sex life and for writing purposes - without having to look at actual pictures of them. I really appreciated the Betty Dodson's vulva illustrations for that, but I did a couple searches on the main Scarleteen site and couldn't find any testes drawings. And I don't really want to Google it, for many reasons; mainly, I don't want to accidentally see pictures, and I don't think I have enough expertise to tell if the drawings I've found are actually realistic or not.

Any help you could provide would be deeply appreciated!

Hi dependantdragon! If you have Instagram, I think you'd enjoy The Body Diversity Gallery by Sam Hil Atalanta (they/them). While Sam focuses on vulva art on their currently suspended The Vulva Gallery account, they've also created paintings of testes (and penises) :D

Hey dependantdragon, I just wanted to pop in to say that although they're not as detailed and comprehensive as Betty Dodson's illustration, our article With Pleasure: A View of Whole Sexual Anatomy for Every Body has a few anatomical diagrams and a few drawings that might help you!

I will say this: you aren't going to see the kind of diversity with testes (either IRL or in illustrations) that you see with the vulva, simply because they are much less complex -- from the outside you can really only see two parts, after all, the scrotum, and then the shape of the testes inside -- and also, sparing differences of size, skin color, and size differences between each testis on any one person with testes, there just isn't as much variation, either.
