Finding Partners

I've recently determined that I'm an aromatic allosexual person, and have no desire for a romantic relationship. That being said, I really want to be in a sexual relationship, but i have no idea how to find someone. The majority of queer people I've met are asexual, and the rest are straight. I go to a very straight school, and I’m just not sure where to look. Any advice for finding a partner/FWB?

Hello and welcome, Bricknmortar!

The process of finding an fwb isn’t all that different than the process of dating in general — you’ll have to find opportunities to meet people, find someone you are interested in, and when appropriate, you have to be upfront about what you want. I realise the first step can be easier said than done... here is the question I would ask myself in your shoes: besides school, is there anywhere else you can socialise and meet new people?

This might get a little easier once you are 18, since you’ll be able to join dating apps — they are not for everyone, but many people find sexual partners there.
