Clarification about pregnancy risks
Hi, sorry if this might sound like a stupid question. I've read on this site that manual sex even with precum does not pose a pregnancy risk but on some other people posts here on the boards you recommended a pregnancy test. Now, did you recommend it because there's actually a chance, even little, of getting pregnant with manual sex with precum or just because seeing a negative result can calm anxiety?

Hi Lalla! No worries, your question isn't stupid at all.
If you and your partner didn't do any intercourse/genital sex after said manual sex, then no, it is not necessary to take a pregnancy test. As you've probably known by now, manual sex with precum poses minimal risk of pregnancy. But if you'd like to be completely sure, there's nothing wrong with taking a pregnancy test.
Is there anything you'd like to share regarding your own experience?

No, we did not do any genital sex. By minimal risk of pregnancy what do you mean?

Hey Lalla!
Minimal risk means it is very, very unlikely that you would get pregnant from that particular activity.
Even if there is pre-cum on someone's hands or something else that could be inserted into the vagina, it is unlikely to cause pregnancy because it does not survive for very long outside of the body. Also, fun fact, pre-cum often doesn't contain any sperm cells or a very, very low amount of sperm cells! And this is because sperm leaks into the pre-ejaculate, not because it contains it. Peeing before sexual activity (the person with the penis I mean) can help clear sperm out of the urethra and prevent it from mixing with pre-cum.
As char said, if you're still feeling anxious about this it's totally fine and safe to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. That way you know with certainty that you are not pregnant. Most pregnancy tests will instruct you to test on the first day of your next expected period and first thing in the morning for most accurate results.
But statistically, it is very unlikely! I hope this helps relieve some anxiety for you. <3

Re: Clarification about pregnancy risks
I'm so sorry, Lalla. I realize I've caused you more stress in this situation.
I don't like speaking in absolutes so I said "very unlikely" but to clarify, it is essentially impossible for you to get pregnant from pre-cum on someone's fingers.
Is it theoretically possible? Supposedly. If a bunch of very specific circumstances came together perfectly. But as far as we know, this has never happened. I cannot find any documented evidence that someone has actually gotten pregnant in this manner. This is why all of the articles on Scarleteen say it is impossible. Because mathematically, it is impossible.
Sperm is fragile, volatile, and only survives in very specific circumstances. If there were even sperm cells in your partner's pre-cum (which there likely wasn't), they most assuredly died once they got onto his hands.
The chances that you have gotten pregnant from this interaction are next to zero. I would not worry about this at all if I were you.
