im sorry if i sound actually crazy rn but im deadass 💔💔

im super scared of making anyone uncomfortable so i’ve stopped wearing makeup and wearing tight fitting clothing. and im super scared of anyone seeing my bra strap. im just scared that somehow me just existing and expressing myself through the way i look (doing weird makeup, dyeing my hair, wearing fun outfits, etc) is going to make people uncomfortable??

like logically i know this makes no sense and is probably the same logic victim blamers use but i don’t know lmk if i am cray thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi, meowwww123:

I am sorry you are dealing with feeling fear of dressing hot or sexy. I am here to tell you it is not harassment or wrong to dress hot or sexy. How you dress is a matter of personal expression and choice and should support you and your desire for how you want to look and feel. There are, unfortunately, people in the world who feel uncomfortable about others' dress, but people can also feel uncomfortable by an endless array of others' choices, behaviors, expressions. You don't need to worry about this or allow it to influence your choice of dress unless its something you choose to do for yourself.

Are there particular examples or situations where you have felt this uncomfortability that you would like to explore more?

yeah like specific things where the way i dress ppl assume things about me and it makes me feel like it’s my fault, like if i didn’t dress alternative people wouldn’t assume things about me sexually or smth like that.

it’s rlly annoying me because i used to love dressing up and stuff but i don’t want people to sexualize me

like i think the main thing is like

i think the people who see me and make assumptions about my sexuality are the weird ones, but for some reason i feel responsibility over their assumptions

Hey meowwwwwww123, can we keep this conversation on your other thread? This question is certainly being driven by OCD, which you brought up on your last post.
