Being horny

Unread post by gnarp_gnarp_2 »

Is it normal to feel different types of horny?

Like I feel more horny in my clit when thinking of women but more horny in my chest and vulva when thinking of men.

Is that normal?

Hi gnarp_gnarp_2,

This is a good question! Attraction, arousal, and desire are sometimes so tricky to figure out, especially when they don't match up to what we see in the media about what those things are "supposed to feel like." The good news here is that, contrary to popular depictions, there actually are no "right" or "wrong" waysto feel those emotions and the sensations that might come with them. Attraction and arousal are not "one size fits all" in that, everyone feels them differently, whether that be mentally or physically.

To be very clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with how you are feeling.

Gender is also one of those things that can change our experience of attraction, making us feel one way about one person, and a totally different way about another (or another gender entirely). Here is a pretty good primer on sexuality as a whole, and one on desire that I think you should check out.

I also wanted to drop these in for you in case you're still wondering about how differing attractions might impact the labels or identity you use!
