I can’t finger myself
When i put the first finger, i can’t even feel it and it slides in easily. But when i put two fingers, it starts burning and i can’t even go too deep obviously cause it hurts but also cause it feels so tight to the point i can’t really move my fingers up or down. I’ve got long nails and they’re almond shaped, so maybe that has something to do with it i guess… please give me some tips (im 17 btw)

Re: I can’t finger myself
Hi Lucy!
A tip I would give you is to try adding a lubricant when you are attempting to insert your fingers. For those of us with vaginas, if the vagina isn't secreting enough of it's own lubrication it can be difficult to insert things inside and this can cause that irritating/burning sensation. You can buy lube from the store or you can use things you have at home like olive oil or coconut oil.
Here's an article we have all about lube and why it can be helpful.
Also, yes your nails could potentially be scratching and/or irritating to the inside of your vagina. The skin there is pretty soft so I would be careful with long nails. The almond shape is certainly better than a coffin or talon shape but long nails in general can make things more tricky.

Re: I can’t finger myself
I’d add that putting one’s own fingers inside oneself also often isn’t very satisfying for most people, especially if that is all you are doing. The inside of the vagina all by itself isn’t all that responsive to this kind of touch, and it’s also very hard to get the kind of leverage yourself you’d need to have for this to feel like much.
Are you choosing to masturbate this way because something about a finger inside of yourself feels good, or is it more because this is what you think you should be doing for some reason?
