Okay so since summer last year I have been crushing on this boy, he's the sweetest, he's also very socially awkward and he's really pretty and athletic! He goes on walks and our lunch break at school and comes and visits me sometimes.

The thing is that people in my school found out I like and told him. He approached me at lunch and asked if I really do like him and I said yes he said okay and We just sat there in awkward silence until I said it was okay if he didn't want to stay and he left. It was kinda a bummer because I'm super serious about him.

Whenever someone in class asks him if he would go out with me or if he likes me he always replies "I don't know" or "maybe" which is really confusing. He still talks to me and has acknowledged that I like him.

I was thinking that maybe he just isn't ready for a relationship or he's a little intimidated by the thought of it but I'd rather he told me that he either did or didn't like me instead of the vague answers he gives. Should I try and talk to him about it?

Hi Giffgaff! First of all, I'm sorry to hear that some folks in your school revealed your feelings to your crush. It sucks that they did not ask for your consent to share how you feel about him, disrespecting you in the process. You deserve to decide for yourself if and when you're going to confess--not other people. That said, when he told you about how he knew about your crush, how did you feel about it? I think this is something you can refer to for what you're going to do next.
