hi! ive been having issues with feeling pleasure with my fingers and i wanted to know if anyone had advice or if this is something i should see a doctor about.
im 19 and ive never had sex, just masturbating. i do feel aroused and get wet but i only get off to my clit, whenever i try to insert my fingers it doesnt feel pleasurable it just feels like something is there. its not painful, but it feels odd. i think though that sometimes after i had put my fingers in there my vagina hurt the next day or it mightve felt like i got a UTI, but im not sure. i thought it was supposed to feel pleasurable when you put fingers in there since thats what ive found online. im concerned that i wont even be able to fit anything up there or find it enjoyable at all in the future if i get a partner. ive never been to an OB GYN either and im wondering if i should go for this. please let me know your thoughts or any similar experiences anyone has had !! id really appreciate it, thank you <3

So, there's no "supposed to" with how things feel for any of us. Everyone is so different, and the way we touch ourselves (or are touched by other people) also creates a world of variation with how we experience touch, no matter where we are being touched.

That said, it's pretty common for just putting fingers in a vagina, especially your own (because leverage) to not feel like much of anything. It's also common for it to hurt if we aren't using lube and aren't gradual and careful. How it feels when someone else inserts their fingers will generally feel different, but whether or not it will feel good to you is going to depend on a lot of things, things like: how turned on you are or are not, if you actually want to be touched that way, how you feel about the person touching you that way, how exactly they are using their fingers to touch you, and if you're someone who even enjoys that kind of sex (some people do, some don't). But I don't see any cause for concern about your vagina being able to have something in it, and you also don't need to feel like you have to worry if you don't enjoy this with a partner. If you don't (and even figuring that out will likely involve trying a lot of different ways of doing this), then you don't: no kinds of sex should ever be or feel required, and what we all like is different.

I don't see any reason for a doctor's visit, since it doesn't sound like anything is wrong with your body or health. I just hear you saying that, so far, you don't enjoy just inserting your own fingers in your vagina and doing nothing else but that, which is pretty typical.
