Unread post by rinalee »

hello>< i just gave my bf oral yesterday and he came in my mouth it was my first time so i immediately spat it out and rinsed with tap water. after that we cuddled and kissed for a while and then after quite sometime maybe 30 mins or less? he inserted a finger in me. he did not move just inserted because my insides were tight. he removed it and then i licked his finger and had some saliva on it before he inserted it again. only twice insertion of finger. is it possible that my mouth, after all the kissing still has sperm on it? and it somehow transferred in my vagina? please help anxiety is eatinh me up TT

Hey rinalee, welcome to the boards ^_^

It doesn't look like pregnancy is possible here, frankly speaking. Since your boyfriend's ejaculation had been rinsed out with tap water, and it had been about 30 minutes after your giving oral sex, there's a higher chance that there are no leftover sperm cells here. While the mouth can be a closer-to-ideal space for sperm cells to live in, because you've basically washed them away, chances are you are not going to be pregnant. That said, oral sex poses risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), so it is something that you may need to pay attention to.

Cleaning up after sex--like rinsing out your mouth with water or showering--is good practice! While they are not forms of birth control, they can help in reducing chances of bacterial infections. I hope you're able to keep that up. In the future, you might also want to look up options for safer sex, such as using a condom or a dental dam, as well as getting tested--especially if you're going to have sex with your boyfriend more regularly moving forward. thank you so much! >< i came across this website because ive been searching relentlessly about answers. i did not expect a fast response thank you so much..

but lets say, if for example ejaculation/sperm was left only 10 minutes in the saliva with no rinsing, just spitting, is it possible for pregnancy to occur if the same saliva with (traces of sperm) get fingered inside of the vagina?

You're welcome! The chances are still nonexistent here. Even though the saliva serves as a "better" environment for sperm cells to live in compared to, say, the skin of our arm or our thighs, it doesn't contain the nutrients needed for sperm cells to live, so it is more likely that they have already weakened by the time they were ejaculated into your mouth. Add tap water to that, which typically contains minerals and thus isn't neutral in terms of pH levels, and the sperm cells are likely eliminated. Does that make sense?

If you'd like further assurance on whether or not you'll be pregnant (which is very unlikely), you might find this piece helpful. It takes into account your menstrual cycle too: The Pregnancy Panic Companion
