Is scissoring supposed to feel like anything?
me (ftm) and him (ftm) tried scissoring in something missionary adjacent, but it didn't feel like much? it felt good just a little, but it just didn't feel like much?I had a hard time getting things to align. is it a myth, or am i doing it wrong?
I had a knee under him with his leg by my hip and his hips under a pillow.

Re: Is scissoring supposed to feel like anything?
Hey there, sevenswords. Welcome to the boards.
Yes, of course, generally when people are touching each other in any way, it's going to feel like something, because we will feel that we are touching each other. But what any given kind of touch feels like is always going to vary from person to person, interaction to interaction, and body to body, depending on all the things you'd probably figure. And, as is the case with any kind of touch, or anything we can do sexually, it's not for everyone, or something everyone universally enjoys or finds exciting.
It's not a myth that scissoring/tribbing can feel good. It is a myth it's all lesbians do, and it is a myth that it is the only thing lesbians do (or that only lesbians or two people with vulvas do it!), and sure, it's probably a little overhyped in terms of how much sensation it can tend to offer. It also certainly can be presented as something easier to do or do in a way where it does feel like a whole lot. Depending on how different people's bodies work and work together, it can be challenging to find ways to do it that feel good or like much.
Since it sounds like in your case, what's missing here is a level of sensation that you're looking for, my advice would be to incorporate toys if you still want to try and do this: adding something like a grinding/flat stroker toy between you or a flat vibrator (the kind meant to fit under the palm of a hand or to slide between bodies), and seeing if that makes this feel more like what you're after.
And of course, if it turns out this just isn't your thing or you don't want to try a different way, that also is obviously totally fine. Again, everything isn't for everyone!
