So me and my girlfriend do some oral and manual sex, there's no PIV. However my penis touch her vagina for a sec not rubbing or anything just touch, but I did not ejaculate or have pre cum. After that we did oral sex wherein I cum in her mouth, however I stroke my penis afterwards then touch her vagina. But I know that there's no cum or pre cum on my penis after that, it was pretty much dry.

However both of us are worried and she ask me if I cum during the time our genitals touch, because she felt that her vagina is sticky and slippery. But I did not, I only cum when we did oral (no pre cum also)
O

I hope you can answer this, we are really worried

Thank you!

Hey there Keit,

Welcome to the boards!

So it seems like in this situation there was some direct penis-to-vagina contact, as well as touching your penis, then her vagina with the same hand after ejaculating. It looks like you are both especially worried becuase of the wetness you felt coming from her vagina, so let me break down a few things and see if we can get you both feeling less anxious!

First of all, there is a very low risk of pregnancy here. Sperm can only exist as fertile at certain warm temperatures (like inside your body) and ocne exposed to external air, quickly "dies", or essentially becomes infertile. I say this in regard to your worry about your hand carrying sperm, which unless you ejaculate into your hand and immediately transfer it, will generally not present any high risk.

The highest risk here is in the penis-to-vagina direct contact. This does present a moderate risk if your girlfriend is not on birth control. My recommendation is talking to her further about possible birth control options, and using a condom in the future. Here is an article on birth control and protection: Birth Control Bingo.

In terms of the liquid you felt coming from her vagina, this is nothing to worry about, and a very normal bodily function produced by people with vaginas both daily, as well as when physically aroused. It is either discharge or self-lubricant (both perfectly normal). For more info, visit: What Is That White Fluid That Came From My Vagina?

How is all of this feeling for you? Did this answer your questions?

Yeah however I haven't cum or have pre cum during that time and it was like really not long probably the contact was only 15 seconds or less, we were just kissing during that time, there's no rubbing or anything. I don't even recall if it's literally around the vulva or just around the top of the pubic close to her stomach. Is is still a high risk?

Hello Keit,

as Anya said this was not a high risk situation, but we can’t also tell you that there was no risk at all. It’s not always possible to feel clearly whether there is pre-ejaculate (aka pe-cum) present or not so any direct genital contact can present a risk.
What about you give your girlfriend this resource, or you can go through it together, that you can click through based on your specific situation and that will help you figure out the next steps: The Pregnancy Panic Companion

And of course if something isn’t clear there or you have more questions or thoughts about this, we are happy to help with that.

Also, speaking of risk, direct genital contact also poses a risk of STI (sexually transmitted illnesses) transmission, so I want to check if you and your girlfriend are up to date with testing or if you would want any help figuring that out?

Yeah, I understand that and really really thankful for the response. Regarding the std test, we are are updated.

I just really want to have a clear answer regarding the genital part touching, I know there's still a risk even if it touches only for a sec (we did not rub or anything as again I did not cum or have pre cum on me) this is where I'm really really worried about, I ask her if she wants to take a plan b and she said no because there's a chance that it may ruin her hormones and eventually delay her period which for sure will bring anxiety.

I just really hope that she will not get pregnant, what do you think the odds of pregnancy happening for our case?

Also to add we were in the shower when this happens we are both standing and there's a bit of water on me during that time

I'm just really loss at this point and really worried

Thank you very much!

Hey Keit,

To reiterate what our volunteers said earlier, it sounds like there's a very low risk of pregnancy in this situation. It sounds like your genitals just touched, you weren't rubbing them together and you didn't ejaculate. In general, it is a good practice to use condoms whenever genitals come into contact with each other but I wouldn't worry about this. Especially considering you were in the shower, if it was a hot shower it most like 1) washed away any precum and 2) the hot temperature would kill the sperm cells.

You can check out this article for more information about how sperm behaves: Who's Afraid of Sperm Cells?

I know you've been given a few resources already but this one is a great reference for different sexual behaviors and their risk of pregnancy: Can I Get Pregnant or Pass on an STI From That?

I know you're really worried but try to find some things to occupy your mind other than researching and spiraling about a potential pregnancy. I do not believe it is possible for your girlfriend to have gotten pregnant from the actions you described but the reality is you won't know with 100% certainty until she gets her next period. Continuing to ruminate on it will only cause you unnecessary anxiety.
