pain during/after sex
pain during/after sex
Ive been sexually active for two months. Ive expirianced pain during and after intercourse consistently but it has improved. But now I'm not sure if the pain is from a yeast infection or just the act itself. I took monistat 7 a week ago, and my symptoms have cleared. But during and after sex the entrance of my vagina stings/burns and swells. The area around the entrance remains tender the to touch after intercourse. It takes a day or so to return to normal. Is this kindof pain average? I am not overly concerned about an sti, we have consistently used condoms.

Re: pain during/after sex
Hi cj,
This article covers a lot of the reasons why sex may be painful: From OW! to WOW! Demystifying Painful Intercourse
You may also want to check in with a healthcare provider if you think the pain is from a yeast infection, as they can confirm whether or not the one you had is still hanging around

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
