blood clot while NOT on period
I have been taking the pill for a few years and am sexually active. I am in the middle of a birth control pack, so I am not expecting any bleeding since I'm not on the placebo pills, but a blood clot came out while I was on the toilet. Should I be concerned or is it common to experience a blood clot as a form of spotting?

Re: blood clot while NOT on period
Hi Starryeyes,
Spotting usually refers to light amounts of blood, not clots like you'd see on your period. If this happened and you aren't on your period, you may want to check in with healthcare provider (especially if it happens again or it's accompanied by other symptoms).

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
