How do you feel comfortable with traveling and asking for help

If it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, this is probably the place for it.

How do you feel comfortable with traveling and asking for help

Post by coffeebeans »

I'll be honest I don't like travelling. And I hate it so much that I get anxiety and thoughts about bad things happening to me all the time. If I travel by myself I'm afraid something will go wrong. It's really becoming a problem because Im avoiding going to the doctor or therapy or anything else.

If I don't know how to travel I won't be able to get help. And I don't feel comfortable asking for help in general it makes me feel stupid. I been avoiding therapy because i just don't think they could help me and I want to leave my house but I don't want to.i hate when my parents say they would travel with me then on the day they tell me I have to travel by myself. It caught me so off guard. That I don't want to go.

And if I want to move out by myself I don't think I can so I probably couldn't move away from my parents because I don't like travelling at all.

Hey coffeebeans,

I realize it can be daunting to ask for help and leave the house alone when you’re struggling so much already. As we said before, this is out of the scope of what we do here. But I do think it’s important you get the help you need. Can you ask a friend or family member who isn’t your parents to accompany you?

For mental health support, it may also be possible to receive care without leaving your home. Have you explored options for telehealth therapy?

I'm not sure about telehealth therapy but I could try finding something. I just don't know if there's anything locally like that. I don't have any other friends to travel with I'm not sure about asking other family members either.
